All you’ll need: More than 3 water-filled balloons Rules – How to play: Have the children pair-up  to form a line then have each pair stand a couple of feet …

Fall fades to winter fast so as we transition into the midwest and east coast reality of honest to God weather, and waiting to play golf again next spring, there’s a real opportunity (especially for those of you who live in the colder climates, plus those of you who get home from work too late to get out to the course for practice), to practice on your putting stroke in the comfort of a your home putting green. A lot of golfers do not  want to make a change to their putting stroke during golf  season in case it ruins …

Here’s another favorite game to play outdoors or around your backyard playground equipment.  Remember this game?  CAPTURE THE FLAG   -Begin with two teams.  Team 1 has the front yard or the north side/ west side of a chosen yard area. Team 2 has the back yard or the south side / east side of a chosen yard area …. I.E. a field is divided between two teams.  The teams are given a time period, say 2-5 minutes, to hide their flag in their own area of the yard.   Once the flag is hidden, a designated referee (i.e. parent or baby-sitter) …

Red Light, Green Light

No Comments 8:58 am Author: Richard Category:Best Outdoor, Playsets

Here is an old-school classic kids’ outdoor game.  Everything old is new again. Throw in your backyard playground equipment to jazz up any outdoor game. RED LIGHT, GREEN LIGHT    One person plays the “stop light” and the rest try to touch him/her. To begin the game, all children form a line about 16 feet away from the “stop light”. The stop light faces away from the line of kids and says “green light”. The kids are allowed to move towards the “stop light”. At any point, the stop light may call out “red light!” and turn to face the other children. If …
