The Children’s Nature Institute’s says that without a relationship to nature, children will not be connected to its care. CNI strives to help teach kids about science and nature, & as a result, nurture future stewardship, while developing academic skills. A three-part Nature Discovery Program serves children in low income communities and low performing schools including visits to their traveling classroom (The WonderMobile), various explorative urban nature hunts, eco-arts programs, garden plantings, and a sponsored field trip led by a master environmental education specialist.CNI’s goal is to get inner-city kids back to nature inspiring them to respect and protect the environment. CNI listens to kids and teachers and how they have been affected. Visit www.cni-kids.org to learn more or join their program.
